Privacy Policy

Kipp Garlic is a family garlic farm near Coalhurst, Alberta. This page explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect through kippgarlic.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If you have any questions, email us at info@kippgarlic.com.
When you place an order
Your cart is kept in your own browser (using your browser’s local storage) until you check out. We don’t have customer accounts, and we can’t see your cart.
When you click checkout, the products in your cart are sent to Square, our payment processor, and you finish your order on Square’s secure checkout page. Square collects your name, contact details (such as email and phone number), your shipping address if you choose shipping, and your payment details. We never see or store your card number. Square then shares the order details with us so we can fill your order. Square’s handling of your information is covered by the Square Privacy Notice.
When we ship your order
We use your name, shipping address and phone number to make a shipping label through ShipTime, and the carrier that delivers your package (for example Canada Post or a courier) receives that information so it can deliver it.
When you use our contact or wholesale forms
Our contact form asks for your name, email, an optional phone number, a topic and your message. Our wholesale form asks for your name, business name, email, phone, business type, city or province, the products you’re interested in, estimated quantity and any other notes.
When you send a form, it’s delivered to our inbox by email through a service called Web3Forms. We use what you send only to reply to you and, for wholesale inquiries, to prepare a quote.
Browsing the website
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
If we turn on visitor statistics, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and where visitors came from (for example, a search engine) in aggregate. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Cookies
The public website doesn’t use cookies for advertising or tracking. Your cart is saved in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and it’s cleared after you complete an order. The only cookie our site sets is a short-lived login cookie for the people who edit this website in our admin area; regular visitors never get it.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the services we need to run the shop: Square (payments), ShipTime and delivery carriers (shipping), Web3Forms (form delivery) and Cloudflare (website hosting). We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep order information for as long as we need it to fill your order, handle any questions or returns, and meet our tax and accounting record-keeping requirements. We keep form messages for as long as they’re useful for answering you or doing business with you.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it (unless we have to keep it for tax or accounting records). Just email info@kippgarlic.com. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
